Job Description

We’re seeking a high-judgement, data-driven, and creative communications professional to own executive social communications for several leaders within Amazon Web Services. This individual will drive the day-to-day execution of the executive social program for the AWS Specialists & Partners (ASP) organization, delivering social content informed by data and business priorities, measuring the impact of the program (engagement, reach, etc.), and advocating for creative new approaches. This program supports six leaders. This individual will collaborate closely with participating executives, colleagues from across PR and marketing and other executive communications teams to deliver a best-in-class program—content that consistently beats benchmarks and grows each executive’s social following. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with an ability to capture an executive’s voice/style and translate technical content, as well as someone with deep experience managing social media on behalf of senior, high-visibility leaders. This candidate must have the ability to manage multiple leaders’ social activities, navigate a complex business, and bring creativity and fresh thinking to the program. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities: Develop content/engagement strategy for each leader based on business priorities, key themes, and personal interests Produce content (both evergreen and news-driven) that helps grow following and engagement rates Work with PR, and other stakeholders to obtain approvals for all content as needed Build and execute amplification strategies, including paid promotion for tentpole moments Measure program impact and tailor content strategy based on learnings Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements - Experience building and executing communications plans, including social-native strategies/tactics - Exemplary written and oral communications skills Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of cloud computing technologies - Experience working directing with senior leaders - Exemplary written and oral communications skills - Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time frames - Experience balancing multiple projects—short and long-term—and delivering on deadline every time - Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills - Graphics and video editing experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
