Department: Communications and Marketing Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Digital Content & Social Media Strategist is a key communications and digital engagement role within the Marketing & Communications shared services unit for the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for leading the Division’s social media strategy, while also supporting branding, creative design, and digital storytelling efforts. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, digital media, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education At least two years of professional experience managing social media platforms for an organization, brand, or institution Demonstrated experience creating and curating digital content (e.g., photography, video, graphics, copywriting) Applicable equivalencies may be considered for the above qualifications. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, higher education, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education At least three to five years of progressively responsible experience in digital communications, social media management, or strategic content development Experience in higher education or student affairs communications.
